St. John’s is home to a very active weekday preschool ministry that provides a safe, nurturing, Christian environment for young children to develop through active play and active learning. Each classroom is staffed by two teachers who have had background checks and are certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid.
Children are provided with opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences in art, stories, puppets, songs, music, cooking, gym time, outside play, and using manipulatives. The children receive weekly Spanish, Kindermusik, yoga, garden lessons, and bi-monthly chapel time. The goal of the preschool is to provide each child with a loving and safe environment in which he or she can grow and develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
St. John's Preschool also offers a program for children with special needs. This class serves children including those with autism, Down syndrome, and developmental delays.
The preschool meets daily from 9 AM until noon. Optional Early Drop Off (7:55 AM until 9 AM) and Late Stay programs (until 2 PM) are available. A summer program is available during the month of July. Please contact Katie Goodwin, Director, at (803) 985-5656 for additional information.

St. John’s offers an After-School Program for elementary school children in a loving, safe and Christian environment. Children are picked up by church buses from area schools and are given a nutritious snack, time for daily devotion, homework and gym or outside play. In addition children's time is enhanced by artist led art class, field trips, guest speakers, and a variety of fun, engaging activities.
We believe that we are called through our weekday ministries to provide a place for the children of our congregation and community to develop to their fullest potential intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
