Debra Quilling Smith
Debra Quilling Smith is a native of Sidney Montana. She is a graduate of Sidney High School, Rocky Mountain College, in Billings, Montana, Yale Divinity School and the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, in New Haven, Connecticut. Debra was ordained a Deacon in the Yellowstone Conference in June, 1975 and was ordained an Elder in June, 1979 in the South Carolina Annual Conference. She has served the church since 1973, first in Montana (Yellowstone Conference), then in Connecticut (New York Conference), and for the last 37 years in the South Carolina Annual Conference. In South Carolina, Rev. Quilling Smith has served as pastor of the Marlboro Circuit in Wallace, S.C.; First United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach (as an Associate Pastor); as the Director of the University of South Carolina Wesley Foundation in Columbia (campus ministry); as pastor of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, in Columbia, as pastor of Manning United Methodist Church, in Manning, S.C. and now is serving as Senior Pastor of St. John's United Methodist Church, where she was appointed on June 30, 2010.
Debra is married to Francis Carlisle Smith and they have five children, three sons and two daughters, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and three granddaughters.

Rett was born and raised in Murrells Inlet, SC. He grew up in Socastee UMC, and graduated from Socastee High School in 2003. He went to the University of South Carolina, Honors College where he received a B.A. in Religious Studies. Rett received his MDiv from Duke Divinity School in May of 2010, he was ordained as an Elder in June of 2012 at the SC Annual Conference, and he began his ministry at St. John's on July 1, 2010. Rett shares his life and ministry with his wife Lollie and their sons Wyatt and Thomas.
